As night falls with its eyesores

hawling memories of the day beyond the horizon

hordes of people return home

some to mess, and debts

murmuring in low tones

others return with relief,

glad to have found the holy paycheck

to purchase their daily bread

and peace

singing Hallelujah

loud enough to be heard

even in California

but however your day may be

I hope the lessons can be minted into bliss

into keys

and hints

to unlock brighter opportunities

into greater heights

and all you ever desire
